About Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur play at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, capacity 62,850, the largest club ground in London. Founded in 1882, Spurs were the first club in the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup double in 1960/61. Eight FA Cups, two UEFA Cups and a Cup Winners' Cup. Two Champions League finals (1962, 2019) and lost both. The pursuit of glory remains, maddeningly, a pursuit. The North London Derby with Arsenal is THE rivalry for both clubs.
Legends
Jimmy Greaves (1961-1970) scored 266 goals in 379 games, the most natural finisher English football has produced. Danny Blanchflower captained the 1961 Double side and gave Tottenham their creed: The game is about glory. Glenn Hoddle's passing range was absurd across 490 games. Harry Kane became the all-time top scorer (280 goals) and did everything at Spurs except win a trophy, the modern embodiment of the Spurs paradox.
